A Princess, A Thesis and a Cup of Joe!

Hello everyone! Happy mid-August! I am sitting in New York City on a slightly chilly morning, as summer begins to relinquish to fall, sipping on a cup of Tully's Coffee. Tully's is my absolute favorite coffee and I have been without it this summer while I travelled and taught. It's the little things you know?

I was so happy to wake up this morning to the news that I am among an incredible group of artists being honored by the Princess Grace Foundation-USA this year! National in scope, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA is dedicated to identifying and assisting emerging talent in theater, dance, and film by awarding grants in the form of scholarships, apprenticeships, and fellowships. I am incredibly humbled to be listed among such amazing artists. I am hoping there will be a tiara involved, but I am not certain at this point.

The news could not have happened at a better time as we are beginning our month of focussed pre-production on my final thesis project at Columbia University, Over There by Mark Ravenhill, which will be produced at HERE arts in New York this October. The month is filled with design meetings, research and a lot of daydreaming and reading the play over and over. I am so lucky to have incredible collaborators on this project and I will be telling you more and more about them throughout the process. In the meantime, if you would like to help support this project (even a Princess needs supporters), please check out our fundraising campaign. No contribution would ever be too small.

Support Over There!

Thank you all so much for your incredible, enduring support and I hope you have an amazing rest of the summer. Stay tuned throughout for updates on tiaras, coffee and Over There!
